Searching for Accommodation and Property adverts

Simply select the Type of accommodation or Type of Property you want from the drop-down menu (this is required), add other search criteria if you wish and click Search. The results will be displayed on a new page. If there are no results matching your search criteria then it will tell you and you can search again.

 
Registration with us

If you want to advertise on our site then you must first Register with us - there are no exceptions to this rule! You must complete all of the boxes marked with an asterisk '*'.

To succeed in the registration process you require an active Email address ... an email will be sent to you at the address you provide and you have to click on a link in that email within 12 hours to complete the registration. If you do not have your own private email address then you should create one.

If you do not know how to do this or do not know how to read and write in good English then you can still register with us and place advertisments by using the arunachala-property.com advert service in Tiruvannamalai. This is currently available through the Sri Ramana Supermarket ... see below.

In this case you will be charged a small one-time fee for the service and he will allow you to use his special email address for registration and contact purposes, he will also help you to complete the registration process.

If you do not have an email address then you will not be able to complete the registration process and will not be able to advertise on our site.

You must provide a unique username and password to enable you to Login securely and to ensure that only you can place or edit advertisements under your name. If you do not Register then you cannot advertise with us.

Once you have completed your Registration and it has been approved by us, you can proceed to Login and create your advertisement. It is that simple.

 
Placing new adverts

All adverts have to be checked and approved by us before they are made available to the public. We reserve the right to refuse and delete any advert that we consider to be inaccurate or inappropriate for our site.

You must complete all of the boxes marked with an asterisk '*'. The more information you provide for your potential customers, the more response you will get. Be as clear as you can and be honest.

If you do not understand how to do this or do not know how to read and write in good English then you can contact Sri Divakaran at the Ramana Supermarket (opposite Sri Ramanasramam) and he will do it for you. He can also collect, interpret and reply to emails for you - he will charge you for this service.

Accommodation and Property to rent adverts

Accommodation to Rent adverts run for 180 days before requiring renewal. If you do not renew your advert it will be automatically deleted 181 days after it is first uploaded. Accommodation to rent adverts are free for the first 180 days.

All adverts have to be checked and approved by us before they are made available to the public. We reserve the right to refuse and delete any advert that we consider to be inaccurate or inappropriate for our site.

You must complete all of the boxes marked with an asterisk '*'. An error message will appear if you do not complete the information and you will not be able upload your advert.

*Select the type of property you have to rent - house, apartment, room, hotel or guesthouse

*You must provide a name for your accommodation or property - i.e. Annamalai House - this is important - it will help potential customers to identify your property. If your property does not have a name then you can use your own name - example ... M. Ramakrishnan house, etc.

*The first line of the street address - i.e. 22/41b First Street

The second line of the street address (if there is one) - i.e. off Chengam Road

*The name of the village, town or city in which your property is located - i.e. Tiruvannamalai

*The District in which your property is located - i.e. North Arcot

*The State in which your property is located - i.e. Tamil Nadu

*Your postcode - i.e. 606 603 ... remember to put the space between the codes

*Your country - i.e. India

*Description - you should describe your property in good English. The description should contain any additional information that you think people will be interested in - such as ... Quiet location, 3Km from town, a house-cleaner can be arranged if required ... etc.

*The floor level of your property - ground floor, first floor, second floor, etc.

*The total number of rooms

*The number of bedrooms

The price for your accommodation - It is very important to get this right. If you state one price in your advert and then ask a higher price over the telephone or by email, then you will be classed as dishonest and your adverts will be removed from this site and you will not be allowed to advertise again. If you quote a lower price for longer periods of rental, etc. it will not be classed as dishonest. You can also advertise both the in-season and out-of-season prices.

You can change your advert at any time, so if you change the price then make sure that it is the same in the advert.

Money amounts must be inserted in the correct format - the code on this site looks for that and will bring up an error message if your format is wrong ... the format is clearly shown on every page that requires it.

*The rental period for the price you are asking - i.e. per day, per week, per month

*Your email address for people to contact you. If you do not have one and do not know how to use the Internet, or do not understand English then you can contact G. Divakaran at the Sri Ramana Supermarket and he can provide an email address, collect and reply to your emails for you. You will be charged a small amount for each email he collects and answers.

Your telephone numbers if you want - these are not compulsory

*The type of furniture you are providing (if any) - i.e. unfurnished

*The type of bathroom - Indian, Western or None

*The kitchen type - if any

You can insert up to six photographs in landscape format for each advertisement, they should be uploaded in this order:

a/ The entrance to your property
b/ Verandah or roof
c/ Lounge or sitting room
d/ Kitchen
e/ Bathroom
f/ Bedroom

All of the photographs must be in Landscape format - they must be wider than tall. You do not have to add photographs, but it helps to attract customers.

Below the main section is a list of extra facilities that you can select by clicking on the small box to the left of each item. These are not compulsory but will provide useful additional information to potential customers.

You must not ask for money in advance either in the advert or through email, etc. You must not approach people for money for any other reason. If you do this then you will be banned from using this site - there are no exceptions!
 
Property for sale adverts

Property for Sale adverts run for 60 days before requiring renewal. If you do not renew your advert it will be automatically deleted 61 days after it is first uploaded. Property for Sale adverts are free for the first 60 days.

*The type of advertiser - You MUST declare what type of advertiser you are - Owner or Agent

*Select the type of property you have for sale - House, Apartment, Hotel, Guesthouse, Housing Plot or Land

The requirements below will vary according to the property type you select from this menu. In every case you must complete all of the fields marked with an asterisk '*'.

*The number of floor levels - how many floor levels does your property have

*Area of one floor of your building - This is measured in square feet and the size you enter should be the amount of land the building occupies ... not the total area of the land accompanying the building/s - this is entered in the next box.

*Complete property size (all of the land) - Enter the total size of the land accompanying the building/s in cents.

Example: The ground floor of your house measures 1,200 square feet but the total land area is 1.5 acres - you should enter 1,200 for the area of one floor of your building and 150 (cents) for the complete property size.

*The total number of rooms - 1, 2, 3, etc.

*The number of bedrooms - 1, 2, 3, etc.

*The number of bathrooms - 1, 2, 3, etc.

Additional buildings being sold with the property - example - 1 guesthouse, 1 watchman's house

*The price of your property - It is very important to get this right. *The size of your apartment - This is measured in square feet.

*The size of your Housing Plot - Enter the size of your plot in square feet.

*The price of your Housing Plot - you must enter the full price

*The size of your Land - this is measured in acres (example: two acres and seventy five cents is entered as 2.75 and seventy cents is entered as 0.70)

*The price of your Land - this is priced 'per cent'

Editing and Deleting adverts or Registration Details

You can edit your adverts after LOGIN by selecting edit/delete your accommodation advert or edit/delete your property advert.

This will open a page listing every advert that you have placed with us. To the right of each advert are four choices -

Edit - selecting this opens the edit advert page and loads all of the information you entered previously - you can change any of the information and then select 'update advert' to upload it. You must complete all of the boxes marked with an asterisk '*'.
Delete - selecting this permanently removes your advert from our site.
Renew - selecting this requests us to renew your advert when it is due to expire. Do not select this until you receive an email informing you that your advert is due to expire - this will happen after 170 days for accommodation adverts or 50 days for property for sale adverts.
Show Details - this simply opens a page showing your advert ... you cannot edit this page

You can edit your registration details after LOGIN by selecting Edit your Registration details. This opens the edit registration page and loads all of the details you entered previously. You can change any of the information and then select 'update' to upload the changes - if you change the registered email address you are required to confirm it again by clicking on a link in an email that is sent to the new address.

You cannot delete your Registration details, only we can do that. If you want to be permanently removed from our website then please contact us and we will disable your registration. You will not be permitted to re-register or place adverts if you do this.

Accommodation-wanted adverts

Accommodation-wanted adverts are permanently free. They run for 42 days before they are automatically deleted - this is to prevent our serving getting overloaded with dead adverts. You can
